5.Beyoncé Renews Vows

Superstar singer Beyoncé and husband Jay Z have renewed their wedding vows in June and last week the star allowed an exclusive look at her stunning wedding dress. The couple, who married in 2008 conducted the ceremony privately with friends and family present.

But it was Beyoncé’s wedding dress that stole the show. The rumoured £8,000 dress designed by Galia Lahav, was allegedly inspired by Queen Victoria’s wedding dress.

The couple alluded to the ceremony throughout their ‘On The Run’ Tour, where footage was played showing the couple holding their twin sons.

4. Bird Box Dominates

If you’ve been living under a rock then you won’t have a clue what ‘Bird Box’ is, but for those who have seen Netflix’s smash-hit original movie you will have seen how the Sandra Bullock film has dominated the streaming service.

The movie has become Netflix’s most watch content EVER! Over 45-million views have been recorded since it was released late last year and the film’s popularity seems to be increasing. This increase has led to a bizarre meme, where members of the public are filming themselves blindfolded whilst trying to navigate everyday tasks.

However, Netflix has stepped in stating that people should refrain from doing this as it may cause harm.

3. Speaker Pelosi

They won the House in the mid-term elections and now the Democratic Party have elected Nancy Pelosi the new Speaker of the House. Pelosi, who now takes the third most powerful position in American politics, has stated that she will try to unite the country and the both Democrats and Republicans together.

However, as the country is in the midst of a partial government shutdown, Pelosi has also promised that she will not, under any circumstance, provide any money for the building of President Trump’s flagship policy – the border wall.

It looks as if Nancy Pelosi is already preparing to make her mark on the Speakers role and truly attempt to hold truth to power.

1. Markle V Harry

Another week, another interview from Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas. This time, the 74-year-old lased out at his Royal son-in-law calling for him to “man up” amongst the ongoing family rift.

In the interview, conducted by The SUN newspaper, Mr Markle commented on the alleged feud between his daughter and the Duchess of Cambridge and the supposed argument which ended in Meghan making Kate cry. He said: “First off, I think Kate is a stronger woman that that. I think Kate also knows she is in a stronger power position than Meghan is.” He ended by saying he doesn’t believe Meghan is trying to hurt Kate in “any shape or form.” But, his comments weren’t so kind for his daughter’s husband, Prince Harry, who he called “arrogant” and to “man up and get over it.” He said: “I’ll keep talking and I’ll probably get louder.” Looks like there will most likely be more coming from Mr Thomas Markle!
