5. Brexit Implodes

It seems that every day the Brexit process takes a new twist, but last week the entire process virtually imploded. Theresa May led a third vote on her Withdrawal Agreement which failed once again. This concluded with a series of indicative votes which failed also.

The question is now, where do we go from here. Do we head towards a No Deal Brexit, or is the UK facing a softer Brexit.

4. Nipsey Hussle Dies

The musician, Nipsey Hussle has died after being shot dead outside his store “The Marathon”. The 29-year-old, who was an avid campaigner within his local community was in the midst of filming a documentary on Dr Sebi.

Many within the African American community reacted the news with sadness. Singers including Rihanna, Drake, John Legend and actor Michael B. Jordan tweeted their shock and condolences over Hussle’s tragic killing.

3. Jussie Scot-free

It has had more shocking twists and turns than any episodes of the Fox series, Empire. And to add a dramatic turn in events, Jussie Smollett astonishingly has all 16 charges dropped against him last week.

The actor was indicted on the charges after being accused by Chicago Police of faking a hate crime, in where two men tied a noose around Smollett’s neck and shouted racist comments.

The news of the Prosecution’s decisions shocked many on all sides, and the announcement that the records on the case were to be sealed, added to the questioning. And with reports that the FBI wish to investigate, we’ll see how this turns out.

2. Prince William To Visit New Zealand

The horrific terror attack in Christchurch, the town where a far-right gunman killed 50 Islamic worshippers, is to be visited by Royalty. Prince William is set to fly out to the town at the end of April to pay his respects to the community and families effected by the senseless killing.

Kensington Palace released a statement from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge sending their condolences. The news of William’s visit has been praised by New Zealanders, including Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.

1. Batman Turns 80

The Caped Crusader has reached an epic milestone as last week he turned the big 8-0. The iconic superhero has evolved throughout the years both in comics and movies, with numerous actors playing Batman. From Adam West to Ben Affleck, the enduring legacy of the Dark Knight has never dwindled.

But with Affleck stepping down from the role, who will carry on the Batman name beyond 80 years? With rumours that Robert Pattinson being eyed for the role, its seems that there is life still left in Gotham’s Dark Knight.
