18TH MARCH

We rundown the top 5 news stories of the week!

From the breakdown of Brexit, to the universal outrage at the senseless killing of a sleeping lion by American hunter, Guy Gorney, this was the week that was the 18th March...

5. Brexit Breakdown

”What a mess!” This is what the UK collectively thought last week after Theresa May scrambled to the EU to ask for an extension to the Article 50 process. Accused of betraying the promise of leaving on March 29th, a pledge she made over 100 times, the new date was announced for April 12th.

However, April 12th is the date we leave the EU if May’s Withdrawal Agreement is voted down again. If it isn’t, and she manages to do the impossible, then the date will be extended up until May 22nd. This should provide enough time for the necessary legislation to pass through the House of Commons.
